Content licensing guidelines
Looking for Recap Time Squad's own licensing guidelines? You might be interested in reading our open-source licensing policy, which also covers our usage of CC-BY-SA license on non-software works..
Thanks for your interest on reusing my blog posts and other non-software works for your project or even in your own blog! Since they are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC-BY-SA-4.0) or later (unless stated otherwise), feel free to go nuts with remixing as long as you keep the attribution (and noting which parts are your remixes and using the same license a la (A)GPL).
Currently the license apply to all of my blog posts way back to the WordPress.com and Medium days pre-pandemic under my name, alongside those published on other publications where the author allows to be flexible in copyright licensing and my social media posts in the internet. If the licensing policy of where I publish a specific content differs from this one, that policy will apply instead and you might need to contact me (or the publication in question) for permission if so.
How to properly credit my work
The easy route: Use the Creative Commons license chooser miniapp, select CC-BY-SA-4.0 in the license selector and copy-paste the details (i.e. post title and publication name, either the canonical URL or its archive.org link if you manually archive it yourself, and my name (full legal name if you need it0: Andrei Jiroh Eugenio Halili) + website or Bluesky profile link). Use the generated attribution text at the bottom of where you used my work onto yours (or as a footnote if you do).
The advanced route: If you need to use APA (or similar) reference format for academic or journalistic work, same steps as above, plus the publication date. If it's cross-posted content such as reposting my Leaflet posts on Substack and friends, use the canonical version.
