A note regarding Gen AI usage: While I use both Gemini and Claude for help in writing this post (i.e. research, reviewing to catch issues and wording), I wrote the thing in its entirety instead of letting them cook here (I mean letting them write on my behalf if that's what you mean).
So, hello there! I'm back from the long haul of my maintainer break, although the effects of being hit by the autistic burnout bus and the crashouts (aka autistic shutdowns in form of taking the long sleep after school or just sleeping in the afternoon to recharge) still happens occasionally, so apologies again for the delayed responses as I manage my spoons. In case you missed it, here's the blog post earlier on Leaflet:
I may have some behind-the-scenes work regarding my mental health while neurodivergent and disabled which I would like to discuss further but for reasons ranging from privacy and may interpreted by some as trauma dumping in the public while venting to dealing with backslash1 by family relatives on some sensitive matters over DMs, it may take a while to sort them for reading in the public. More announcements soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
Lastly, since April is Autism Acceptance and Appreciation Month2, I am going to do at least 1-2 weekly blog posts to celebrate the month through a mix of talking about my special interests, open-source dev work and NixOS journey, and even doing journaling at The Traumatized Autistics Department (go subscribe to Journaling Notes from The Traumatized Autistics Department publication on your Leaflet feeds or follow ). For more details and to peek around the behind the scenes work, follow the linked GitLab issue below for details.
So that's it for now, I'll be back later this week for the long overdue status update for March 2026 and earlier. Good night from the Philippines, I guess (unless you're a night owl like me).
